The Operations Manager – Additional Services manages and leads the Branch Sales Professionals, Services Manager(s) – Additional Services, Field Manager(s) and the team of Additional Services Technicians who are responsible for selling and completing additional services. This role assists the General Manager (GM) in hiring and training the above positions to deliver best in class service, safety and customer experience. This position is on-site and reports to our Lenexa, Kansas (66214) branch.

 

Responsibilities:

· Assist GM in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for Branch Sales Professionals and Additional Service Technicians, including technical, customer service, sales, and field-based training using company-approved workbooks.

· Oversee staffing, productivity, close rates, revenue performance, and overall effectiveness of the Additional Services sales and service teams.

· Execute daily field leadership through ride-alongs, inspections, and check-ins, spending approximately 80 percent of time in the field and 20 percent in the office.

· Conduct and document sales and service evaluations, completing four ride evaluations per week to assess safety, service quality, and sales compliance.

· Plan, facilitate, and document recurring sales meetings, safety training, and regional collaboration meetings in partnership with the General Manager.

· Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action based on ride-along findings, customer audits, and online service reviews.

· Maintain customer account audits and resolve escalated customer inquiries, issues, or complaints related to Additional Services.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local regulations by maintaining operational knowledge and training employees accordingly.

· Manage inventory systems, GPS tracking, service equipment maintenance, and daily service ticket audits to ensure operational accuracy and asset accountability.

· Support operational continuity by running service routes as assigned, including high-priority or emergency routes when needed.

· Assist the General Manager with incident reporting, expense management, budget adherence, and participation in weekly Key Manager Meetings.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • 1+ years of customer service, customer retention, and/or training experience
  • 2+ years of management experience, specifically in pest control or fleet management
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license, as driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role. Driving record must meet the company’s insurance standards.
  • Must earn and maintain state-required training (provided) and pest control licensing

This position offers a salary base pay range of (70-80/yr), with additional quarterly/monthly bonus potential up to $18,000/year.
